Another trial is set to begin in August with a plaintiff suing Monsanto claiming that her use Roundup caused her to develop non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Roundup Lawsuits From California to St. Louis
One major difference with this upcoming trial is that it will be held in St. Louis, Missouri rather than in California where all three previous Roundup cases have been heard. Having a change of venue allows for the possibility that Monsanto executives will be forced to testify as St. Louis is where the company is based.
The Roundup Queen
According to an article from Environmental Health News the plaintiff is Sharlean Gordon, a woman in her 50’s who was known as the “queen of Roundup” by her husband who gave her this nickname due to her extensive use of the product while they worked on renovating their house.
More Monsanto Roundup Lawsuits to Come
With Ms. Gordon’s trial set to begin in August, another Roundup case is set to begin in September involving two other plaintiffs: Maurice Cohen and Burrell Lamb. Currently there are over 13,000 pending Monsanto lawsuit claims (get more details on those claims here).
