Bayer AG’s legal troubles surrounding Roundup are heading north of the border according to news sources.
Roundup Lawsuit in Canada
According to an article from the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC), a woman from the province of Quebec is looking to start a class action lawsuit against Bayer AG and Monsanto who are behind the popular herbicide product.
The woman who worked on a farm outside of Montreal, claims that her exposure to Roundup has caused her to develop non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Monsanto Roundup Woes Continue
Bayer AG and Monsanto have continued to be hit with legal issues since Bayer AG bought out Monsanto last summer. Most recently, the companies have been hit with a $ 2 billion dollar verdict in the US after an elderly couple filed a lawsuit also claiming their exposure to Roundup caused them to develop a form of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
